Welcome to the 21st EADV Congress!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is our very great pleasure to invite you to the 21st annual EADV Congress that will be held in the historic city of Prague, capital of the Czech Republic.
This is the second time the EADV has held a Congress in Prague, a city that bridges the cultures of Eastern and Western Europe.
The 21st congress will be different! For the first time in the history of the EADV the board has appointed as president of the congress an individual from a country outside the Congress venue. Professor Andris Rubins from Riga, Latvia will be the Congress President in Prague. The local scientific committee will be comprised of Latvian dermatologists and there will be a strong presence of Baltic and neighbouring dermatologists at our meeting. Czech dermatologists, who will of course also be present in large numbers, have graciously agreed to facilitate the running of our congress in Prague but will not be primarily involved in its organisational aspects, a new dimension to our premier annual educational event.
The theme of this Congress is “Skin is Vital”. This emphasises the central importance of skin in our health and well-being. Physicians and scientists from all over the world will gather in Prague for this Congress. Leading European, international, regional and local speakers will provide top level knowledge in basic as well as clinical dermatology, skin and skin cancer surgery, cosmetic dermatology, skin infections, venereology and many other fields of dermatology. During the What’s New plenary lectures and Masters of Dermatology sessions Congress participants will have the opportunity to meet the leaders of dermatology and medical science.
The exciting combination of this dynamic scientific programme and the multiple attractions of the charming cultural capital of the Czech Republic are proving irresistible to many who have already decided to come to the 21st EADV congress!
